Candles of Memory and Transmission
My candles are born from a simple story, made of memories, traditions, and transmission. They are inspired by the Polonia, this living bond that crosses time and borders, and continues to exist between past and present
I create from the scents of my childhood: warm wax, wood, herbs, and garden flowers. There is my babcia's kitchen, still-warm pies, fruit compotes, sugar, melted butter. Soft, familiar fragrances, shaped by repeated gestures and simple traditions that are kept and passed on.
My candles also carry the scents of my holidays in Poland: fresh grass, sun-warmed earth, fruit picked in the garden, time slowing down. Memories shared close to family, between the countryside of Hermanowa and Straszydle, and the gentleness of Kraków, a city I love for its beauty, its light, and its life.
There are also the exiles and the stories passed down to me. Stories of departures, of lives rebuilt elsewhere, of roots carried in suitcases, stories I hold close and keep alive through each creation. They are part of this Polonia that continues to live today, through traditions, memories, and everyday gestures.
Each candle is a calm light, a fragrance filled with memory. A simple way to keep this bond alive, between yesterday and today, and to invite a little softness and history into one's home.
